Tim Tebow officially joined the New York Jets on Saturday. The team will announce the addition of Tebow today at 10 a.m. MST at a press conference in New York, according to 9News.
Apparently not everyone affiliated with the Jets is excited to have Tebow, and the mania that surrounds him, in New York. According to the New York Post, Former New York Jets lineman Damien Woody said this about the press conference today, “How many times has a backup quarterback had a press conference? How many times have there been helicopters to meet a backup quarterback at the airport? The organization is saying he’s the backup. Well, then why do you feel like you have to have a press conference? It’s a marketing ploy”
Yahoo! Sports reports that the Jets aren't holding the conference in the usual place that they have every other press conference because it won’t have enough room to hold all the people who are excited to see the former Broncos quarterback speak.
