Our first official MLB picks of the season will come in three today.
These are plays that qualify by the raw numbers, have a sizable and applicable current season sample and have at least one good supporting situation. Here are some supporting thoughts on the three plays…
In Chicago:
-Over 60% of the betting public is backing Seattle over the Chicago White Sox.
-Most things I am looking at are pointing to just about a 50/50 shot for each team which would lend immediate value to the Dog. The raw numbers expect a clear win, although I still can’t full trust them this early in the season. Clearly most of the betting public would rather support a starter with over 200 starts under his belt vs. a new 10 start (6-4) pitcher, Dylan Axelrod.
*Note: Felix Hernandez is just 8-15 -9.6 units since 2011 when the total is 7 to 7.5
*Since 2004, the White Sox have killed the Mariners 52-27 (65.8%) +19.89 units head to head. That’s a massive 24-5 (82.8%) +18.19 units since 2010.
