World Series Game 1 – STL v. TEX 2-0 +3.5%

Texas v. St. Louis Under: This weather is crazy. I like the under, and I actually like a little bit on STL here. For what it's worth, I'm not too far from St. Louis; it's windy enough to knock the wires around and real chilly here right now. Its my opinion that this one turns into a pitcher's duel. I played baseball at one point, and I can tell you that if it is 46 degrees, windy like mad, and rain pelting you in your face; it's not fun batting. Cracking the ball in the cold is one thing on your hands; but both teams might just be wacking away here thinking about not getting hit by a pitch on your bare hand. People think this will be a slugfest I guess or its just that bias against low totals like 7 or 7.5 (7 is a real key number though so there's some misconception just in general).

I can't imagine batting the ball 2 feet in this nasty weather. Pitching has an edge over the bats in the cold. Game may get called if the weather gets any worse. Carpenter had two similar games where it was 46 degrees or less. One was a series game 1 shut out 5-0 at home against the Tigers. I can't see backing CJ Wilson either here. He's never pitched in anything less than 50 degrees. Lots of things stacked up against the Rangers here so I'll take them too for a bit.
